PROGRAMS
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a bachelor's degree in business administration. The degree is conferred upon a student after four years of full-time study in one or more areas of business concentrations. The BBA program is conducted on the basis of a curriculum of Lincoln University of the USA. All lessons are taught by local and foreign teachers (instructors) selected and approved by Lincoln University and Odlar Yurdu University. The program gives a bachelor’s degree on such specialties as “Finance”, “Management”, “International Business” and “Marketing” and a certificate of Lincoln University of the USA.
OYU being a multi-cultural university, encourages students enroll in the BBA program. Any one satisfying eligibility criteria are welcome to apply. The tuition and other fees of the BBA program at OYU is competitive, and the cost of living in Baku is modest. The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a master's degree in business administration. The core courses in the MBA program are designed to introduce students to the various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management, etc. Students in some MBA programs have the option to select an area or multiple areas of concentration and focus approximately one-third of their studies in this subject.
On a Master’s degree level, the MBA program is a globally wide spread program, and it takes a special place in the field of new global business management. A master’s degree in business management is an essential degree for those, who already work in a business environment, and for those, who want to work in this area. Master’s degree courses that meet Western standards on such specialties as “International Business”, “Finance”, “Marketing” and “Management”, opened within the framework of cooperation between OYU and universities from the USA, Europe, Turkey and Georgia, have been functioning since 2003 and currently this work is being continued. At the MBA program, the teaching is conducted in the Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages. Students completing the program successfully receive a master’s degree in “International Business”, “Finance”, “Marketing” and “Management”, and a certificate of Lincoln University of the USA.
Extended Master of Business Administration
The Extended Master of Business Administration is designed to develop and enhance the management competencies of current and future business leaders locally and globally.
Researches conducted in the field of economy show that in modern environment there is a demand for specialists from among the personnel working in the field of banking, finance, business management and marketing, who are capable of taking optimal decisions in quickly changing circumstances. Taking into account the importance of training such personnel, Odlar Yurdu University, within the framework of cooperation with Lincoln University of the USA, has organized EMBA courses on specialization and upgrading of qualification.
In addition to developing competencies in the core management areas of accounting and finance, marketing, management, economics, etc, there is a focus on strategic decision making. As a whole, development of these cross-disciplinary skills will lead to a range of employment opportunities in public or private enterprises. This program is targeted on business professionals, senior management, government advisers, consultants etc.
Students successfully completing these courses are given a certificate of the international EMBA program of Lincoln University of the USA.
