Partnership with Georgia State University
MBA PROGRAM
Close relationship between OYU and GSU was established in 1997, when the two institutions signed the Agreement on Partnership in the field of International Educational Exchange. Since then, much of work has been done at OYU promoting this agreement, which was renewed later with the aim of starting training students at Master's degree, staff exchange and joint research. Agreement was re-signed in 2003 as a new Partnership Program.
On the basis of new program, Odlar Yurdu University has begun to train students at Master's degree in the areas of “Finance”, “International Business”, “Marketing” and “General Management”. The process of education has been organized in full conformity with Western standards.
Duration of program is 2 years; each year is divided into 3 semesters. Spring and Fall semesters last for 17 weeks, while Summer semester comprises just 12 weeks.
Education is based on the credit system. According to the requirements of basic education level, every student has to get from 42 to 51credit points. Each semester, students are allowed to take up 3-5 courses.
Education is based on GSU curriculums with a strict observance of Azeri educational standards.
The instructors of GSU as well as Azeri faculty having great theoretical and educational experience are involved in the training of students.
Students are offered technically best-resourced and fully equipped rooms and labs, computer labs, continued access to e-mail, Internet and the resources of the World Wide Web, other audio-video facilities.
Education is on payment basis. The language of Program is English.
100-point system is used to assess student record.
Program does not include Master's thesis.
Graduates of MBA Program between Georgia State University (GSU, USA) and Odlar Yurdu University (OYU, Azerbaijan) are granted with MBA Diploma for foreign citizens by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic. Diploma is legally acknowledged by both GSU & OYU. This is for the first time in Azerbaijan that a Diploma is attested by both sides of the Program.
BBA PROGRAM
OYU’s BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration) Program, organized jointly with GSU, is designed to train its students for Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Computer Information Systems, Management, and Finance and Accounting.
Admission procedure is based upon the existing regulations in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Duration of studies in BBA Program is four years. Language of this program is English.

Masters of Business Administration Program
MBA Program has gained world-wide popularity as it represents an improved education program in the field of new secular business administration. About OYU
Founded in 1996, OYU has 5 Departments that train highly qualified specialists in many fields of activities in Azerbaijan. There are two levels of education at OYU. Students are being trained in 14 qualifications for Bachelor’s degree and in 15 qualifications for Master’s degree.
About GSU
Founded in 1913, GSU has 9 colleges that train highly qualified specialists in many fields of activities. There are two levels of education at GSU. Students are being trained to take their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees. The Business Administration Program which is currently under realization in OYU is conducted jointly with GSU’s Robinson Business College. Today, GSU and Robinson Business College are among the top higher education institutions in the world.
GSU’s Robinson Business College is highly appreciated for its capability to train real leaders in the field of business.
Here are the special features of educational process in this program:

Program graduates will be awarded with a diploma specified by the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic with indication of the GSU and OYU partnerships.
Those students who demonstrate high scores may be sent to the Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, USA, for further training.
The curriculum consists of basic prerequisite courses, basic courses, core courses and elective courses.
Along with “basic prerequisite subjects”, students are taught 17 courses each for 3 credit points during the training which amounts to 51 credit points. Those students who have already had Bachelor’s degree on Program’s concentrations may be exempted from basic courses.

Admission Procedure
Admission procedure is based upon the Program Regulations.
Application documents are welcome:
- from June 1 to June 28 for Summer Semester
- from July 25 to August 25 for Fall Semester
- from December 15 to January 15 for Summer Semester
All applicants have to pass written tests based upon the GMAT Program. Those applicants who have already passed their GMAT or TOEFL examinations, are exempted from written tests.
Classes start on:
- July 3 for Summer Semester
- September 1 for Fall semester
- February 1 for Spring Semester
Time-table is drawn up to fit the students’ wishes and their business schedule.
Eligible applicants are locals and expats with Bachelor’s or equivalent degree.
All applicants have to provide the following documents:
- the completed and signed application form
- officially certified photocopy of a university diploma (with transcripts) confirming a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
- 4 photographs (size: 3cm x 4cm)
Application documents are admitted everyday (except for Sunday) within the above - specified application periods from 10 a. m. to 6 p.m.
