With the purpose of increasing the level of education and training of highly qualified personnel, at the university, meetings are arranged for students not only with the team of professors-teachers but also with distinguished scientists and highly competent persons on relevant specialties. A special attention is paid to exchanges of views and hearing of lectures.
To encourage students’ interest in education and scientific creativity, those undergraduates and graduates, who are active and study with high marks (grades), receive named stipends (scholarships, grants) on all specialties.
AT THE UNIVERSITY, THE FOLLOWING NAMED STIPENDS HAVE BEEN FOUNDED:
- Heydar Aliyev Scholarship, named after our national leader, is granted to the most gifted students, who successfully study at a master’s degree level of the uni-versity, and are exceptionally active in the socio-political works.
- Scholarship of Academician Z. Aliyeva is given in the field of “Medicine”.
- Scholarship of Academician A. Seyidov is granted to students in the field of “Education”.
- Scholarship of Academician S. Vurgun is given in the fields of “Philology” and “Linguistics”.
- Scholarship of Academician A. Mahmudov is granted to students in the field of “Economics”.
- Scholarship of Academician V. Qahramanov is given in the field of “Jurispru-dence”.
- Scholarship of Professor Lutfi Zade is given in the field of “Computer mathematics”.
Apart from such named scholarships, students, who study with good marks at the university, are allowed certain privileges and allowances (discounts, rebates) in respect of tuition fees.
