At the university, lessons (classes, lectures) start on September 15th. Each class lasts 80 minutes. Classes are taught as per an approved schedule. The first semester of the academic year covers the period up to February 9th, the test-examination session covers the period between January 5th-30th. After the session, students get a 10-day holiday. The second semester of the academic year starts from February 9th. At the same time, students, who study on a credit system, when they fail to attend exams during the summer examination session due to a valid excuse, they can cancel these exams between September 5th-20th. Exams, which the students could not attend during the winter examination session due to a valid reason, they can be cancelled between February 9th-25th. For students, who did not attend the exam on a specified period of time, that subject is considered to be an academic debt. It means that students, who have an academic debt, having paid that subject’s payment again, having learned the academic program in accordance with the stipulated academic hours, are allowed to take an exam. Besides, for students, who have academic debts during summer holidays, a summer semester (III semester) is arranged. This semester lasts 6 weeks and it is based on the principle of a voluntary participation of students. Students, who were enrolled in via a transfer from other universities, in order to eliminate the academic discrepancies, having paid the payment for these subjects, having learned the academic program in accordance with the stipulated academic hours, have the right to sit an exam.
